EMERGENCY RESPONSE | Welcome To Janamangal
 
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
COVID19 created havoc situation in throughout the world and in Odisha as well. We act in two different way.
  • Social Consiousness about COVID19 and Social Distancing
  • Sanitation and Hand washing
  • Emerging Food support needy and poorest of the poor families and individuals
In our project area extension of lockdown due to COVID19 seriously affected on daily earners. Now they are struggling to survive. Government provided Ration Card Holders Rice 15 kg per head for three months which is not enough for a person. In a month a person consumed 25 – 30 kg rice, because Rice is breakfast, lunch and dinner for him. Ultimately what will be the curry, which is dream for them in current pandemic situation.
 
In other hand there is 356 families those don’t have Ration Card as result they were not able to get rice. Even the provision for cooked food they are also not getting enough. To keep it in mind JANAMANGAL (Center for Independent Living) started to feed families those in need.
 
We launched a program named as “Zero Hunger COVID19” on 2nd April 2020 and identifying the families and individuals those yet not supported from any source. Also we initiated nutritional food for all during this situation.
 
Those don’t have ration card, we are supported with Dry Food pack consisting of Rice, Dal, Potato, Onion, Soyabin, Mustard Oil, Salt, Turmeric Powder, Mustard, Curry Powder, Suji (Rawa), Chuda (Flattened Rice) and Sattu (only for 6 months – 8 year children) for 15 days. Those families were getting rice from government and they were not able to procure food materials we provide all the food items instead of rice.
 
 
 
Those families coming from outside and they don’t able to cook food, we providing cooked food at their door step.
 
By 28th April we reached to 189 families, 84 individuals and 72 children and action is going on.
 
We planned to reach all families but financial constraints is the major challenge for us. We need your support to reach out all families to ensure “Zero Hunger COVID19”
