During opening of bank account by the self help groups of women affected by domestic violence, Branch Manager using rough language as well as mislead the members to open bank account in Odisha Gramya Bank, Chhatrapur Branch. Though our initiation and motivation 38 members from different self help groups are move forward to bank and ask why you are not open our account. Also 7 representatives from these groups are moved to local Member of Legislative Assembly and stating the details. By pressure Branch Manager open all the self help group accounts. We came to know that a 17 years child became mother by sexual exploitation, we pull that case to District Child Protection Officer, Balasore as well as we share the same with District Social Welfare Officer, Balasore and Collector – cum – District Magistrate, as result now primary support given to the girl child and non-bail arrest warrant issued against the accused. 

 

Currently we are the part of RENAISSANCE Network where together we are identifying the major issues and challenges of violence affected women and adolescents and jointly we are addressing the situation
