Perspective & Capacity Building Training
For the improvement of leadership quality, Capacity building trainings have been imparted to the members of PRI members, women groups, adolescent groups, village committees, and community development workers, volunteers, Women SHG members through a participatory training process. “JANAMANGAL (Center for Independent Living)” personnel’s are trained by NIPCCD, Guwahati and BIRD, Mangalore.
 
Training is an integral part of rural & household development process, hence “JANAMANGAL (Center for Independent Living)” has enhanced leadership quality and capacity among women, adolescent girls, and youth, tribal’s, dalit and poor villagers for their empowerment in order to carry forward their own development by     themselves.
 
Youth and Adolescent Animation Program
179 leading adolescent girls and young ladies are organized, articulated, capacitated and raising their collective voice against trafficking, protection, discrimination, deprivation, exclusion, vulnerability and gender related issues and biasness at community and panchayat level.
 
Through perceptive and capacity building training 56 community level male, female, youth, adolescent girls, ST, SC leadership quality and articulation ability has enhanced which is being exhibited independently at various levels for the sustainability and continuity of the program.
 
Health and Sanitation
12 risk pregnant and 19 complicated post natal mothers, 21 severe children have been properly treated in the local hospitals being referred by staff with Gaon Kayan Samiti (GKS).
 
198 adult and 56 children treated by 5 health camps organized by the projects in interior pockets of the project area of Nilagiri block of Balasore district.
 
Out of 59 deliveries, 41 deliveries are Institutional delivery promoted jointly by the project and government hospitals.
 
13% under 5 year children have restored their normal growth through nutrition education and food weaning demonstration program to mother jointly with Integrated Child Development Scheme. At the beginning of the project malnutrition was 42% and now it is reduced to 29%.
 
22 Counseling sessions for 189 ANC, PNC and lactating mothers were conducted in 18 villages jointly with local PHC/CHC doctors of Nilagiri and Bansapal block including with village multipurpose female health workers, ANM, AWW and “JANAMANGAL (Center for Independent Living)” staff.
